Hannah Glass came to Delaware Tech to provide a better future for her and her future family. "There was a time where I was sleeping in my car and trying to stay on top of my grades and schoolwork at the same time. I have been providing for myself for quite some time now, and it is very challenging mentally and financially to do so while maintaining good grades."

Hannah finds the human body interesting, which led her to enrolling in the nursing program. "I enjoy the human body and all the pieces that come together to make a working mechanism. My passion for learning paired with my desire to help others made my major an easy choice."

Since coming to Delaware Tech, Hannah has had to learn a lot about "self-reliance and resilience. Life is challenging at times, but you have to keep your head up." She advised students to "strive for what you want every single day" and to "work hard even on the days when you do not want to." She stressed the importance of self-care. "Stress and knowledge retention do not mix well."

After graduating from Delaware Tech, Hannah plans to continue her education in hopes of becoming a nurse practitioner.
